St Madern's (pronounced Madderne) is the mother church of Penzance. It is a large sized parish church in the Perpendicular style.

The parish church of St Keverne is dedicated to St Akeveranus.

St Rumon, Ruan Lanihorne, is one of the churches set in the beautiful Roseland Peninsula, and is dated from 1321. 

This questionnaire on Saint Briochus' Church, was completed by a volunteer working on the project, and includes some interesting photographs

The church has a 15th century, carved alabaster Reredos, retaining vestiges of colour and gilding.

 

It is said that much of the granite used in the rebuilding/restoration of the church was local stone.

Our volunteer, who completed the questionnaire, has omitted to mention the ancient fig tree which is growing out of the wall of this church.  It is

Since at least 1259, and probably before, there has been a Parish Church of St Mary located on this site.  

 

St Mawnan and St Stephens Church, built in 1231, is only one of four churches serving the parish of Mawnan Smith. 

According to one reference the church is said to date from the thirteenth century, and was dedicated to St Mewanus.
