Will of Thomas Higgins, gentleman, 1637

This is a transcript of the will of Thomas Higgins, gentleman, of Hillend, Eastnor. The will was made on 8 November 1637 and, according to his memorial in Ledbury church, he died on 15th November 1637, aged 68.
Hillend was one of the larger farms in Eastnor and the farmhouse is still standing, although now divided into cottages. Thomas Higgins also owned the Woolpits Farm, straddling the Eastnor/Ledbury border, which he left to his wife for her life. This building, too, still stands.
