Castle Mill bridge, Dunster

The Avill flows past Dunster mills under the two late 18th-century ornamental bridges designed by Richard Phelps, the southern a rustic bridge originally known as Bampton but now as Castle Mill Bridge, and a second in the Palladian style.[1] They probably replaced older bridges including Bayards, Bern or Barron bridge recorded from the 15th century.[2]
