The whole of the parish of Dummer with Kempshott.
Comprising the Keeper’s Cottage at Kempshott, Clump Farmhouse and cottages, the Grange Farmhouse and cottages, the Down Farmhouse and cottages and Dummer village. A formerly detached part of Winslade Civil Parish comprising cottages at Ganderdown, Southwood Farmhouse, Kempshott House and Gardener’s cottage and cottages at the Kennel.
A fall in the population was recorded, being 386 people in 92 houses. There was only one farmer listed, William Cooper, but there was no reference to the acreage or number of employees. Previously worked farms, Dummer and Kennel Farms were occupied by a farm bailiff and steward. For the first time four agricultural workers were described as using machinery. As well as the foundry there were four blacksmiths and two wheelwrights; two men worked on the railways and one on the road. There were two beer shops, three shops, a post office, fishmonger and baker. Manor or Dummer House continued to employ female servants.
