Nately Scures Probate Material 1543-60

Extract of Inventory

The first four wills in this period reveal a traditional Catholic community who left their souls to the Virgin Mary and supported lights to burn in front of the statues of saints in the church. After 1560 the wills reflect the religion of the Reformation.

Words in square brackets indicate that they have been transcribed as seen but where the meaning is unclear.
