Will of Richard Cocks of Castle Ditch, esquire, 1623

This is a transcript of the will of Richard Cocks of Castle Ditch, esquire, dated 29 November 1623. As he had land in Gloucesetershire and a house in Maiden Lane, London, as well as in Eastnor, his will was proved a the Prerogative Court of Canterbury on 2 March 1624.
His memorial tablet in Eastnor church says that he was an alderman of London, Justice of the Peace and sometime High Sherriff of Herefordshire. He was the son of Thomas Cocks of Bishops Cleeve in the county of Gloucester. He died on 7 December 1623.
