Will of William Upton, yeoman, 1655

Upton appears to have been another brother of Roger Upton (d. 1646). He left money for repairs to the parish church but also for the highway. He appears to have been a wealthy yeoman farmer as he employed a husband and wife as paid servants and supplied them and their family with food and drink.
