Will of William Pivar, smith, 1595

This is a transcript of the will of William Pivar, smith, dated 5 May 1595; he was buried on 13 May 1595.

He left a vice, some tongs and a hammer to a kinsman, but he left his anvil and his bighorn [perhaps beak-iron - the pike of an anvil] to his son William, 'to be occupied jointly between my wife and him during her life'.
