Will of William Morall, 1546

Morall left bequests to eight churches in the Basingstoke area including Steventon and to Winchester cathedral. He also asked his executors to take care of his soul. Why he had such wide-ranging religious interests is not apparent. He was clearly a man of some wealth who employed two male and one female servant and left more than 80 sheep. He may have been the tenant of the manor farm.
