Will of Roger Luffield of Bosbury, 1596

One of the most interesting points about this will, is the bequest to named poor people of the parish: 'I would desire my master to relieve the poor of the parish in giving amongst them (as he sees their want) 8s. of the monies which he doth owe me besides the £3 above paid to Richard Phelps, John Mutlow. Adams. John Welchman. Lumbard. David. Sibyl, Elizabeth Vobe. Joan Day, Joan Sheere, & to George 12d. apiece unto White. Bayliffe. Hathorn and to the two Gwilliam's 6d. apiece and unto Joan Suger & old Joan Day 4d. apiece'
