Will of Robert Stocker, yeoman, 1607

Stocker died in1606 aged 67. He is commemorated by a brass in the chancel of St Michael’s Church. His wife, Ursula, was daughter and heir of Matthew Arnold, clothier of Alton. They had 9 sons (including Thomas, Samuel, Athanasius, John (executor) and 2 daughters. Stocker had property in Basingstoke, Sherfield on Loddon and Sherfield Green.
