Will of Richard Branche, husbandman, 1597

This is a transcript of the will of Richard Braunche/Branche, husbandman, dated 28 March 1597. He was buried only two days later, on 30th March, and the will was proved on 27 April 1597.

He left a young family, and his will contains the usual stipulation that his wife was to have his property during her life, to pass to the children on her death. He also stipulated that if she were to remarry, she should give the children security that this would happen.
