Ryders’ will detailed her wishes for the disposal of her bequest from her late father. She made her brother in law Joel Dowtie, curate in Basing, her executor, with half her estate being left to her nephew Joel Dowtie junior and half to her sister Margery or if she has died to her kinswoman, Alice Jones.
