Will of Lambert Searle, innkeeper, 1681

Searle was a wealthy innkeeper at the White Hart in Hook who left over £300 in bequests to his children. He was apparently a puritan as he wanted to join the kingdom of the elect and chosen. He did not provide for his body to be buried at Newnham perhaps hoping for a more appropriate burial place.
