Will of John Mulford, senior, 1522

Mulford was a member of a well-established Basing family, who specified his wish to be buried near his relatives, and instructed his heirs to leave certain items, probably family heirlooms, in his house. He also left items of armour to his sons. More than half of his will refers to the masses, dirges, bells, Month mind, church bequests etc that he required – a good Catholic in the pre-Reformation period. The bottom of the page is unfortunately damaged and illegible.
