Will of John Holmes, 1646

Holmes was a prosperous yeoman with many lands in Basingstoke and a meadow north of Basingstoke on Wildmoor, a detached part of the parish. There is a hint of family tensions in this will and perhaps strife between the testator and his son, also John.
