Will of John Finch of Bosbury, 1583

Although brief, this is an interesting will . Not only does it say that the testator's son is to pay his mortuary (the fee to the church for burial) and the cost of his funeral, but allso his heriot - the payment due to the lord of the manor on the death of a tenant. This was usually his 'best beast'.
