Will of John Branche, 1583

This is a transcript of the will of John Branche, dated 6 June 1583. From the items mentioned in his will, it is obvious that he was involved with farming. An interesting item is the silver arrow left to his son.

This may be the same John Branche who has been identified in a number of Eastnor manorial records and who was one of the men who 'went into the fields' in 1578 with the representative of the bishop of Hereford to identify the customary land of the manor (Herefs RO AA59/2).
