Will of James Seagrave/Segrove, 1608

Seagrave’s will is interesting as he worked in the local cloth industry. It reveals the tools of the trade and some of the products, including kerseys which were made of a thick, warm cloth originally produced in the village of Kersey in Suffolk but later produced over much of southern England.
