Will of James Cannar (Canner), ropemaker, 1707

Canner was tenant of Corpus Christi College, Oxford, copyhold number 17 which was a cottage and garden, where presumably he made ropes. He possessed working tools, beams and weights and carts relating to his business. He also possessed a house in Cranbourne, Hants. He must have prospered as he left £130 in bequests.
