Will and inventory of William Aslett, baker, 1635

Aslett was described as a baker and he had a bakehouse with the equipment of his trade but he also appears to have been a substantial farmer with £63 worth of corn and smaller items in the barn. He owned five horses, plough gear, harrows and dung pots for manuring his fields. Perhaps he grew his own corn for bread-making. It was quite common at this time for a man to have two occupations: farming and another trade.
