Will and Inventory of Thomas Bunny, tanner, 1641

Bunny was a tanner whose will listed his properties and land. He had 20 acres in the openfields of Basingstoke so he was a farmer as well as a tanner. His will showed that Basingstoke had both open fields and enclosed land. The inventory is very useful as it lists the contents of his tan house indicating leather and fuel. The will was nuncupative, an oral testament written down by those present after his death.
