Will and Inventory of Roger Weston, senior, yeoman, 1653

Weston clearly has a considerable estate with mention of a shop and cellar and an interest in a malthouse which he leaves to his son who is constructing a second kiln. The inventory however only amounts to £12 with little equipment listed, suggesting that he had retired and his son was already running the malthouse. He also leaves a garden plot to his daughter.
