Will and Inventory of Robert Nashe, yeoman of Weston Corbett, 1610

Nash was a yeoman farmer in the neighbouring parish of Weston Corbett, who chose to be buried in Upton Grey as Weston Corbett had no church. His 1610 will left a substantial estate valued at £207 15s. 8d., from which he bequeathed just 12d. to two of his sons and two of his daughters, but left cash and kind to his unmarried daughter Margerie, including the lease of his house, and cash and his own bed, bedding and other items to his daughter Ann. He also left £40 (including £30 from her mother) to his granddaughter Dorothy Wills.
