Will and Inventory of Richard Daniell, senior, 1645

Daniell was a grocer, an urban occupation. However, he sold a much wider range of goods than a grocer would in 2015, much of it was haberdashery. Studying the list of goods reveals the range of items the ordinary townsfolk of Basingstoke could purchase. He instructed his administrators to be guardian of his children and the accounts proved much later in 1669 show that he dealt with suppliers in London.
