Will and inventory of John Whitcombe/Witcom, 1558

Whitcombe left a modest estate to his wife and eldest son, with special bequests for his young daughters to be given them on their marriage. His bequest to his parish church was proportionately generous. He had more cattle than sheep, so probably lived in the northern half of the parish. The will was proved in Basingstoke rather than Winchester.
