Will and inventory of John Russell, yeoman, 1641

Russell was a substantial yeoman farmer who lived in Hook and leased his farm and house ('remainder of years in my house at Hooke'), valued at £6. A wide range of produce is listed in his inventory including cheese, bacon, butter, oats, peas, wheat and hay. He also possessed pigs, horses, oxen, 40 cattle, 24 sheep and lambs and 4 acres of copse wood. He had loaned out a total of £50.
