Will and inventory of Henry Edwards, husbandman, 1583

Edwards’ will is very valuable for its insight into the fields of Mapledurwell. Some of his land is rented out and his detailed descriptions of the location of each piece indicate the main open fields of the parish. The will also shows how land of Corpus Christi College and Winchester College was interspersed in the parish.
