Will and inventory of Florence Downes, widow, 1559

Downes’ will is badly damaged making reading difficult. Her husband was Richard (d.1557), but her will refers to a son, John Sex, indicating that she may have been married previously. The inventory lists several horses with carts and plough together with sheep, lambs and wool and crops on 26 acres, presumably inherited from her husband, as well as debts.
