Will and inventory of Christopher Frye, husbandman, 1664.

Christopher Frye was tenant of Garys Farm, Corpus Christi College copyhold number 4. The substantial house survives and is still owned by the College. The domestic tasks performed in the farmhouse are indicated by the names of rooms: buttery, milk house, malt house, kitchen. There were storage lofts over these rooms for harvested crops, wool, carding and spinning equipment. Frye farmed about 40 acres with sheep and crops.
