Will and inventory of Charles Covey, husbandman, 1661

Covey was a copyholder of 30 acres of land in Steventon. His son, Richard, was the second name on the copyhold and his father instructed that he would inherit the copyhold one year after his father’s death. First, Charles' widow and sister should use one year’s profits to pay other debts and legacies. His inventory valued at £77 which included 49 sheep, five stalls of bees and crops.
