Will and inventory of Andrew Bernard, gentleman, 1559

Bernard was a wealthy gentleman with rooms in his substantial house for servants, luxurious clothes and furnishings and some weapons. He probably farmed over 60 acres of arable and had more land for his 100 sheep, horses, cattle, pigs and poultry. He left small amounts of money to his children provided that they pleased their mother, Elyzabethe, whom he made his executrix and residual beneficiary.
