Will and Inventory of Ambrose Dawman/Dorman, blacksmith, 1637

Dorman, a blacksmith, left five shillings to Cliddesden church, 12d. to each of his three daughters and ten shillings a year to the bringing up of a girl to the age of 15 (his connection not stated). His son, Ambrose, was named as executor but does not appear as a beneficiary. The inventory fades out without being added up and, sadly, with no mention of smithy tools, other than a pair of heavy scales.
