Tregonwell Road guesthouses, Minehead

From 1896 the new Urban District Council encouraged the creation of new streets of terraces and semi-detached houses especially the grid south of the Avenue formed by Bancks Street, Summerland, Tregonwell and Glenmore Roads linked by Summerland Avenue and Irnham Road by 1900. The houses at the north end of Glenmore and Tregonwell roads with their decorative woodwork and balconies and five bedrooms were clearly built with a view to accommodating visitors.
