Taunton St Mary Magdalene church

As with many congregations there were many absent parishioners from St Mary’s by January 1915. In addition to those known to be dead c. 270 parishioners were in the war. However, with nearly 1,000 soldiers in Taunton, St Mary's actually increased its congregations with 400 soldiers swelling the attendance at Matins besides church parades.
