Supply depot site, Taunton from Silk Mills railway bridge

A few surviving buildings can be seen in the distance in this view of the military supply depot site from Silk Mills railway bridge. The foreground occuped by new buildings is the site of the several railway sidings that serviced the depot. Branch lines from the sidings served large sheds.
A film made for the Royal Army Supplies Corps shows a few glimpses of the depot at work with a locomotive drawing waggons past one of the huge supply shed where soldiers unload supplies.
