St Nonna's Well, Hobb Park

St Nonna or St Nun, mother of St David, was honoured in many places in Cornwall. This well at Hobb Park near Muchlarnick in Pelynt parish was reputed to cure insanity and offerings are still made there.
A medieval chapel of ease at Muchlarnick was dedicated to St Nonna. It stood in the centre of a small hill fort south of the well. There is nothing visible on the site, which has been regularly ploughed.
