St Michael's church, Brixton Deverill

Photograph of the church of St Michael the Archangel, taken in 2009. Viewed from the south-west, the image shows the medieval tower of the church, and the south elevation of the restored nave and chancel. The highest section of the tower contains the belfry and dates from the 15th century. In 1553 there were three bells, but two were sold in 1760 to help pay for restoration work to the church; the third remains today. A spire was added to the tower in 1852, but was removed in 1899.
