St Leonard's well

St Leonard’s well was recorded from c. 1300 and is covered by a late medieval well house. It supplied the priory and the town. It remained in use after the Reformation but by the 18th century the supply onward from the priory site was not working.
In 1777 the old pipes were relaid and covered and new ones added.
