Pillbox at Dunster Beach

During the Second World War the coastline bristled with defences such as slit trenches, anti-landing posts and pillboxes on the beach. Dunster Beach camp was defended with barbed wire and zigzag slit trenches as well as infantry posts and pillboxes, which survive on the golf course like this example.
