Nettlecombe church, heraldic window

This window, in the chapel built under the terms of Sir John Trevelyan’s will, contains saints and the arms of Trevelyan in the centre flanked by those of Ralegh left and Whalesborough right. Unfortunately the medieval windows were damaged and the surviving glass was restored in the early 19th century and used to create images with genuine medieval pieces mixed with 19th-century glass. Most of the heads, hands and feet even if original do not match e.g. this image of St Catherine centre is clearly made with a crowned male head.
