Lyshwell farmyard reconstruction

Reconstruction of Lyshwell farmyard, Molland, near the county boundary at Hawkridge. Situated below the crest of a ridge, the farmstead is afforded some protection from Exmoor's harsh climate and relied on horse power rather than water power to provide drive to the barn adjoining the farmhouse. The Buckingham family worked Lyshwell and neighbouring Landcombe farms, rearing livestock until the 1900s when Landcombe farmstead was abandoned.
