Luttrell Arms, southern extension, site of the Admiral Vernon

The Admiral Vernon was surveyed in 1777 when it stood immediately south of the Ship with a large yard and stables. It was part of the Higher Marsh estate and was last recorded in 1832. By 1840 it was two houses and a smithy. It was later demolished and the site was incorporated into the Luttrell Arms.
