Inventory of Robert Ansell, weaver, 1645

Ansell, a weaver died intestate so only the inventory survives. He was relatively wealthy for a weaver with his goods valued at £100 but his administrators may have found it difficult to realize all his assets as £37 worth were ‘desperate debts’ owed to him, that is ones which the assessors did not think it likely would ever be paid.
