Inventory of John Smythe, 1588

Who Smythe was is a puzzle. His title of 'Mr' suggests some status, probably in the church, but he was not the rector. Why he held the lease of the parsonage and why for Richard Hooker and John Canner is also mysterious as the patron of the living and thus owner of the parsonage was Queen's College, Oxford.
