Inventory of John Charter yeoman, 1604

Charter’s inventory listed goods showing that he had a considerable dairy farm with pigs and poultry, and good quality furniture and equipment which included a crossbow, rack and arrows, so possibly once a serving soldier or a member of the local militia. There were two large debts (£40) owed to him amounting to more than half the total of £75 8s. 8d.
