Inventory and bond of Joanne Crooke, widow, 1625

Joanne Crook’s son, John, with whom she shared the residue of her late husband’s estate was living in Norton, with her son, Arthur, still living in Steventon. She practised mixed farming with sheep, a few cattle and corn. Her daughter, Merable, administered the estate with the consent of her brothers.
