Huish Episcopi church tower

The magnificent tower of Huish Episcopi church has an unusual claim to fame having been the subject of a Royal Mail 9p stamp in 1972 as part of a set of stamps of village churches.
The church may originally have had a central tower but this ornate west tower was added in the late 15th century and stands over 100 ft high. To support the wight the lower walls are c. 5ft thick.
