This three-storey, 11-bay 1870s mill building forms part of the large complex knows as Flax Mills, Torbay, Castle Cary. It was formerly part of Donne and Company's linen and hemp works but now houses several small business. A large octagonal chimney used stood at the far end, built when Thomas Salisbury Donne converted the factory from water to steam power but demolished in the later 20th century. His steam engines were in use until the 1960s.
