High Street (east), No. 109 (London House)

This impressive late medieval timber-framed house (built c.1480) overlooks Burford's central market area, and in the 1550s may have been owned by the clothier Edmund Silvester. It has an impressive vaulted undercroft, possibly once used as a tavern.
